4 January 2013 · Committee
36, Ballatessan Meadow, Peel, Isle Of Man, IM5 1du
Permission was granted to convert an attached garage at 36 Ballatessan Meadow, Peel into a therapy facility. The property is a detached two-storey house in a relatively modern residential estate of semi-detached and detached properties. The main planning considerations were the potential effects on neighbouring amenities and highway safety. The site has a driveway approximately 6 metres long and 5 metres wide, and the estate road in front of the property is between 5.5 and 6 metres wide. The application was approved by committee on 31 December 2012, subject to four conditions.
The Department of Infrastructure approved the change of use on 31 December 2012. The key planning considerations were the potential impact on neighbouring amenities and highway safety, both of which were found to be acceptable given the site's characteristics, including the existing driveway and the width of the estate road.
