The proposed addition would add to the visual mass and bulk of a building which is already unattractively massive and bulky.
There is no definite proposal for providing parking space for use in association with the proposed office floor space.
NOTE: The Committee is also concerned that the application is imprecise insofar as the implications of the removal of the air conditioning apparatus has not been fully explored - for example would the apparatus have to be installed elsewhere in or on the building or would this result in new window openings being introduced in the existing building.
NOTE: This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
