14 May 2010 · Delegated
3, Thornton Avenue, Douglas, Isle Of Man, IM1 4nu
Permission was granted for the creation of a dormer window at 3 Thornton Avenue, Douglas, a two-storey semi-detached dwelling on the south side of Thornton Avenue. The officer noted that the dormer would face an access road to the rear and then over an area of offices in parkland, limiting any impact on neighbouring residents. The application was decided by the Senior Planning Officer under delegated authority, with two conditions attached to the permission. The formal decision record lists 2 conditions.
The application was permitted by a delegated Senior Planning Officer on 14 May 2010. The dormer window was considered acceptable given its position at the rear of the property, looking out over an access road and an area of offices in parkland rather than towards neighbouring homes.
