11 December 2014 · Delegated
Pinewood Complex, Laburnum Road, Douglas, Isle Of Man, IM2 1de
Permission was granted for works at the Pinewood Complex on Laburnum Road, Douglas. The proposal involved demolishing an existing masonry staircase, erecting a timber balcony in its place, and installing a replacement glazed door. The site is a relatively modern public house within the still-developing Pulrose housing estate, adjacent to public open space. The building is three storeys tall with cream render and a pitched roof. The key planning considerations were whether the design was appropriate and whether the works would affect neighbouring residents. Both were found to be acceptable, and the application was approved on 11 December 2014.
The application was approved by delegated decision. Officers considered the proposal acceptable in terms of its design and its likely impact on neighbouring residential amenity, and recommended approval, which was confirmed in the formal decision. The formal decision record lists 1 condition.
