Prior Notification decision under the Town and Country Planning (Permitted Development) (Telecommunications) Order 2013

Name: Manx Telecom Application No: 14/00855/TEL Proposal: Installation of a replacement 8m high telecommunications monopole accommodating three antennas within a glass reinforced plastic shroud at: Manx Telecom Transmitter Methodist Church Hall Baldrine Hill Baldrine Isle of Man IM4 6DQ
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Infrastructure considers that prior approval to the siting and appearance of the development, as described above would be required.
The details, having also been submitted, are hereby APPROVED subject to compliance with the conditions specified below.
You are advised that if you do not carry out the development within 5 years of the date of the approval then you must re-notify the Department of Infrastructure, before you proceed with the development.
Schedule Of Condition:
- In the event of the monopole and cabinets erected under this approval become redundant they must be taken down along with all ancillary infrastructure and be removed from the site within 3 months of the cessation of use and the land restored back to its previous state.
Reason: In the interests of the character and appearance of the site and surrounding area.
This approval relates to the following plans and information, date-stamped as having been received 18th July 2014: BALDRINE/100 Rev.1; BALDRINE/201 Rev.1; BALDRINE/202
Rev.4; BALDRINE/301 Rev.2; BALDRINE/302 Rev.4, and the Supporting Information document.

This decision was made by the Director of Planning and Building Control in accordance with the authority delegated to him in the name of the Minister and/or in the name and on behalf of the Department.
This approval refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning (Permitted Development) (Telecommunications) Order 2013.
You should note that a copy of the Officer’s report which led to the decision being made, along with any correspondence relative to the application, is available for inspection at the Department.
The decision contained in this notice does not become final until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later.
Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.
