27 November 2012 · Committee
Cronk Breck, Bernahara Road, Andreas, Isle Of Man, IM7 3hh
This retrospective application sought permission for the erection of a general storage building at Cronk Breck, Bernahara Road, Andreas, Isle of Man, along with associated landscaping works. These works included an extension of the residential curtilage to accommodate new access tracks, a repositioned driveway, new entrance walling, and a concrete apron. The Department of Infrastructure approved the application on 27 November 2012. The officer's assessment found that the storage building sits significantly lower than the adjacent dwelling and is set among existing trees, limiting its visibility from outside the site. Natural screening provided by intervening topography and vegetation further reduces any public visual impact. The concrete apron, repositioned driveway, access tracks, and changes to the residential curtilage were all found to be not readily visible from outside the application site.
