Statement
Finch Hill Pavilion and Bowling Club Limited Reg No. 192C Introduction
It is the intention of the Directors to maintain the high standard of facilities at the club [particularly the green] by improving the security around the green.
The Bowling Green itself is currently enclosed on three sides and we wish to improve the security and, hopefully, reduce the likelihood of damage by erecting a fence at the rear of the seating in front of the clubhouse as well as replacing an old “mesh” fence. The height of the fence will be 2m this we hope will prevent individuals scaling the fence.
It is likely that some form of shelter will be erected subsequent to the installation of fencing however the priority is to secure the green.
We are not aware of any ecological or traffic impact possibilities on the installation of any fencing would be undertaken to the manufacturer's’ specification.
Searches have been carried out by the utility providers.
Planning history etc.
We are not aware of any constraints around the possible development; it may be that there is a right of way that exists from Kensington Road and Grosvenor Road around 2 sides of the green in front of the club house and exiting to the road adjacent to the former domain road school and in front of the former maternity home. The right of way is show in pic 2, 5 & 6 enclosed with this submission. A minimum width of 1.5m will be maintained when fencing is installed. See pics 2, 5, 6 & 7.
