The Proposal
The proposal is for alterations both externally and internally at the residential property. These alterations consist of :-
1. Removal of the existing double- storey height uPVC bay window and door assembly on the side elevation (South) of the property.
2. The construction of a new wall in the area where the uPVC elements are removed.
3. The Inclusion of uPVC (to match existing) windows to the new wall area.
4. Feature over cladding to the area where the wall and windows above have been constructed.
5. Feature over cladding to the projection window areas on the adject part of the building.
6. The cladding areas will be in a sage green colour and be laid to have a vertical orientation.
These alterations will overcome and remedy the water ingress caused (in part) by the failing of the uPVC elements. The double doors, which the client considers to be redundant, are to be removed to enable better use of the internal spaces.
There is sufficient access to the garden from the dining area and living room adjacent so as to not have a detrimental impact on the access to the outside spaces.
The internal alterations are to enable an improved living arrangement within the existing accommodation and have no impact on the extremal appearance of the building.
