Categories: Dan
Hi Helen, Dawn, From the Planning List 26 April 2024 and excluding planning applications with suffix ‘CON’ and re‐consultations, the following new planning applications have highway related impacts and will be subject to a separate response:
- 24/00447/B
- 24/00453/B
- 24/00467/B
The following planning applications have no significant negative impact upon the highway network in terms of highway safety, highway operation and car parking. Highway Services HDC does not oppose (DNO) the following applications. Advisory comments are applied where relevant, such as for licences to use the highway for equipment and material during works:
- 24/00242/B– After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking.
- 24/00402/C – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the site is in a sustainable location in Peel centre and would have a similar or less traffic generation that the existing use.
- 24/00409/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking.
- 24/00411/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, subject to the proposed parking and turning area conditioned to be implemented before first occupation of the proposals.
- 24/00414/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the site is in a sustainable location in Douglas centre.
- 24/00432/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the proposals are a relatively modest increase in GFA compared to the previous approved development for the site.
- 24/00449/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking. The Applicant should make sure they have access rights to the un‐adopted Tower Road to the rear of the proposals where the stairs exits. A condition relating to the proposals remaining ancillary to the existing building should be attached to permission.
- 24/00450/C – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the site is in a sustainable location in Ramsey, would have a similar or less traffic generation that the existing use, and there is on‐site parking available.
- 24/00458/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the existing access and site internals are acceptable to accommodate the proposals.
- 24/00459/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the proposals are off an un‐adopted access lane.
- 24/00465/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the proposals appear relatively minor, subject to a condition limiting the use of the proposals to private use i.e. so limiting external trips to the site along the constrained private lane and accesses.
- 24/00483/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the existing vehicular access to the fields is acceptable for the proposals.
- 24/00487/C – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the site and layout is already suitable for the type of operation proposed in its industrial location, and traffic generation is likely to be similar or only marginally more intensive than the previous public amenity site use.
Highway Services HDC has no interest (NHI) in:

- 24/00359/B
- 24/00379/GB
