Supporting Information Statement.

Brief history of R Cain Plant Hire.

We have been operating since 2006 starting off with one small micro digger. Operating from my then house in peel. After adding a bigger machine and a small tipper we rented a yard in crosby 2008, from there we grew steadily and after a few years there we moved to a yard in castletown 2012 where Haven Homes are now building. Once there we employed a full time mechanic to look after our equipment and also other customers plant, trucks etc. We grew into having a $8 \times 4$ tipper and a beavertail there and the plant fleet also grew. From there we went to balthane for a short time behind wilson and collins 2017 Then an opportunity to get a covered workshop came up at Billown Farm at around 2019. At billown we had a fully kitted out workshop with truck ramp. We now run a plant fleet over over 20 machines varying from $1 / 2$ ton dumpers to 6ton dumpers, diggers from 1ton to 11ton, telehandlers and other plant, most hired out on a self drive basis. We have a $6 \times 2$ grab truck, a beavertail for moving machinery and a 7.5 ton tipper for small jobs. We service and maintain all sorts of machinery and trucks from house hold mowers up to big 32ton tippers in our workshop with all the specialist tools in. We also do call outs to breakdowns of machinery.

Background of the building.

Wilson \& Collins building has be there for over 40 years, being a steel fabrication shop before being converted in 2021 to separate units. We actually did all the groundworks for this conversion in 2021. The units we are in were previously used by an events business. Other businesses along from us include Mann waste, isle of wraps and manx independent. Across the road is Mann Crane hire and environmental technologies.

Future Plans.

With the move to balthane we are increasing our mechanics from one to two. The hire fleet is being renewed in the next two years.
