To develop a multipurpose building that will be at the heart of Ramsey's life, being not just a home for CotR but also a place for the Community, their events and activities, enriching the life of Ramsey, being available and open, day in day out.
We intend to provide a quality development that will show other landowners and developers in Ramsey what is possible, to spur them on to progress their plans, increasing the investment in the town and driving its regeneration. Our desire is that our development will be such a catalyst.

Our proposal is for a venue at the centre of the community; a flexible multipurpose facility that would be available to the community.
The main hall would be a 300 to 400 seater auditorium equipped with a full lighting & AV rig, capable of hosting events from concerts through to dances & receptions.
A full AV capability would be a requirement for our style of worship. It would also enhance the value of the hall to any other organisation looking for a venue for concerts, arts events, even films. This would also provide a significant, centrally based indoor venue for Townwide events.

Catering would be provided by a fully equipped professional kitchen that would be available for both conference and short-order catering.
In addition, there would be a coffee shop/cafe available for a franchisee for general day-today use, combined with WiFi access/an internet cafe.
There would be an administration office and a series or smaller seminar style multipurpose rooms available. Space will also be made available for good quality modern office accommodation that will be available for commercial rent.
Such rooms would allow other NGO and governmental agencies smaller, more discrete facilities for regular drop in, support or advice sessions. Also, these can be made available as green rooms or dressing rooms for performers.
The building would be designed with all-area disabled access but would also provide levels of access control, especially when being made available for vulnerable groups, such as 'Mums \& Tots'.

To move The Factory to a less residential area and to expand the facilities available to the youth of the town, through this successful formula. In addition, to provide a facility for the work of the children's centre and their after school work.
To provide a venue closer to the centre of town for regular Mums \& Tots groups. To create fit-for-purpose facilities for mums with pre-school children to meet, providing a safe environment for the children.
To have a venue to replace the facilities lost to the north following the closures of Ramsey's hotels.
To provide for a range of functions, from commercial through to social, such as weddings, concerts, film shows, ceilidhs, society dinners, etc. by combining a flexible main hall
area with professional conference catering facilities.
Also to have a coffee bar/internet cafe - an opportunity for an existing business to relocate to newer premises and allow the centre to be open all day, making it a focal point within the commercial and business district.
To provide facilities for training courses or seminars. The on-site catering would also allow us to look beyond the northern parishes to offer away-day training to other businesses or government departments from across the Island, as a whole.
CotR is an Elim Pentecostal Church, part of a growing Movement of more than 550 Christian congregations in the British Isles, known as Elim.
The founders of Elim wanted the name of their new Movement to express their vision and values, and so chose 'Elim', the name of an oasis in the Bible that the people of Israel discovered as they wandered through the desert. It provided shade and refreshment to all who encountered it.
For the year ending 30 September 2011, Elim had an income in excess of $£ 57$ million. Elim operates through the Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance ("EFGA"), a registered charity (Charity Number 251549 (England \& Wales) SC037754 (Scotland).
Our primary focus is to be in the community, for the community. We exercise this objective through our youth work, primarily The Factory, our children's work, Noah's Ark and our training programmes, including Alpha, The Marriage Course, etc. In addition, we make our facilities available to other charitable or volunteer organisations.
Our current property has been renovated to accommodate the demands of our work. However, our building is now acting as a constraint on our activities through a combination of size and location. There is, therefore, an imperative on us not only to find new premises but also to move as soon as practicable to accommodate demand.
As part of a wider UK charity, the leadership of CotR are accountable to the trustees of EFGA. EFGA are regulated by the UK Charity Commission.
When we are in a position to progress this project, we will be calling on the expertise and experience of such capital projects within Elim in conjunction with local professionals. At all stages, Elim will be kept informed as required.
CotR has established an ad hoc steering group to oversee the project, as it develops. This group reports directly to the Leadership Team. As the project progresses, the skills set required within this group will alter. The driving principle will be on professionalism. Where it would be more cost effective, professional expertise will be engaged.
