The property is a detached bungalow in a typical 1970s residential cul-de-sac, featuring a steeply pitched roof with existing smaller extensions and a flat-roofed double garage on the east side. The main planning considerations were the potential impact on the character and appearance of the site, the dwelling, and the wider street scene, as well as the amenity of neighbouring properties. The application was assessed and approved by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture under delegated powers. The decision was issued on 18 June 2019 and is subject to one condition. An amended plan was submitted during the course of the application.
The application was approved by delegated decision on 18 June 2019. The key planning considerations were the impact on the character and appearance of the dwelling and street scene, and the effect on neighbouring amenity. The proposal was found acceptable on both counts.
