Derbyhaven House
Planning Application: Supporting Statement
Approval was given for works to Derbyhaven House in July, 2011, for PA 11/00733/B. This application is similar except that:
- Access to the rear of the property.
- Removal of the oil storage tank.
- Parking arrangement in the front of the house.
- Alterations to the glazing in the boat house/gym.
- Layout of the front garden.
A ground floor plan of the layout approved in PA 11/00733/B is attached to assist in identifying changes.
The application includes a full set of drawings as approved with the above alterations and will replace the previous application in its entirety.
Reasons for Application
- Condition 4 of PA 12/00087/B for land at the rear of Derbyhaven House would remove access to the rear of Derbyhaven House.
- The oil tank is no longer required as the house would be altered to use gas fired central heating.
- PA 11/00733/B already provides parking at the front of Derbyhaven House, including removing existing wall and hedge. This application extends the parking area.
- The new side window in the boat house has been moved to accommodate parking changes.
- The garden layout has been modified to provide a centre gate and path.
- Cars can now maneuver into parking bays without reversing into the road, by using the space in front of the boathouse.
