NOTE. In this instance of the submitted application, Structural Method statement and Structural Engineers Drawings for the following: 7864/01A: Structural opening in South Transept, 7864/30: Door opening kitchen -Plan & Elevation (1), 7864/31: Door opening kitchen -Plan & Elevation (2) 7864/32: Door opening kitchen -Detail A, 7864/33: Door opening kitchen -Typical Plan on door jamb and after consultation with the case officer, who is happy with the level of detail, it is deemed sufficient to achieve the desired outcome and would be considered satisfactory for the planning condition 3 of application 18/00530/CON with the understanding that demolition shall be implemented in accordance with the approved method statement.
Plans/Drawings/Information; This decision relates to application, Structural Method statement and Structural Engineers Drawings for the following: 7864/01A: Structural opening in South Transept
1.0 Description - 1.1 The proposed application 18/00530/CON for the registered Building consent for external alterations, including the creation of a new opening and installation of new windows and screen to south transept, installation of roof lights, replacement of railings to boiler room, provision of external screening and internal alterations including the removal of pews and introduction of new flooring, the creation of new toilets, kitchen, vestry, multi-function space and cafe facilities (In association with 18/00529/GB) Registered Building Nos. 204 was approved on 10/09/2020 subject to 8 conditions, some of which required submission of additional information prior to the commencement of works. - 1.2 This report is specific to Condition 3 which the applicants are seeking to satisfy. - 1.3 Specific wording of the condition as follows:
"C3. No development shall take place until a method statement demonstrating the means to be employed in the works of demolition authorised by this permission and support of any retained structures has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Department. Demolition shall be implemented in accordance with the approved method statement.
Reason: To ensure the satisfactory preservation of this registered building."
2.0 Proposal - 2.1 The applicant's agent have now submitted an application, Structural Method statement and Structural Engineers Drawings for the following: 7864/01A: Structural opening in South Transept
3.0 Consultation - 3.1 The registered buildings team were consulted for advice on the satisfaction of condition. The advice received on 06/10/2023, after their review of the submitted documents, concludes that they are pleased to confirm that the information satisfies the relevant clauses.
4.0 Recommendation - 4.1 In this instance of the submitted application, Structural Method statement and Structural Engineers Drawings for the following: 7864/01A: Structural opening in South Transept, 7864/30: Door opening kitchen -Plan & Elevation (1), 7864/31: Door opening kitchen -Plan & Elevation (2) 7864/32: Door opening kitchen -Detail A, 7864/33: Door opening kitchen -Typical Plan on door jamb and after consultation with the case officer, who is happy with the level of detail, it is deemed sufficient to achieve the desired outcome and would be considered satisfactory for the planning condition 3 of application
18/00530/CON with the understanding that demolition shall be implemented in accordance with the approved method statement.
I can confirm that this decision has been made by a Principal Planner in accordance with the authority afforded to that Officer by the appropriate DEFA Delegation and that in making this decision the Officer has agreed the recommendation in relation to who should be afforded Interested Person Status.
