Hazlewood House, Ballaragh Road, Laxey, Isle Of Man, IM4 7ph
Permission was granted for the installation of a flue to a detached bungalow at Hazlewood, Ballaragh Road, Laxey. The property sits at the top of an incline between Ballaragh Road and Ramsey Road. The flue protrudes 400mm above the existing roof ridge, with up to 800mm visible from the south-east elevation and 400mm from the north-west elevation. Its position roughly 30 metres back from Ballaragh Road limits how prominent it appears from the street. The application was decided by a Senior Planning Officer under delegated authority and was approved with two conditions.
The application was approved by a delegated Senior Planning Officer. The flue's limited protrusion above the roof ridge and its setback from the road were considered acceptable in planning terms.
