30 August 2017 · Delegated
Coan Aalin, Main Road, Greeba, Isle Of Man, IM4 3ld
Permission was granted for the erection of a timber-framed pavilion for domestic leisure use at Coan Aalin, Main Road, Greeba. The property is a residential site with a large curtilage on the northern side of the A1 road between Douglas and Peel, and already contains a number of outbuildings and domestic structures. The main planning considerations were whether the pavilion would harm the character of the surrounding Area of High Landscape Value and whether it would affect the amenity of neighbouring properties. The officer concluded that the proposal was acceptable on both counts and recommended approval. The application was decided under delegated authority and permitted on 30 August 2017.
The application was permitted on 30 August 2017 under delegated authority. The officer considered the timber-framed pavilion acceptable, finding it would not cause unacceptable visual harm to the Area of High Landscape Value or undue impact on neighbouring amenity.
