Department Of Environment, Food And Agriculture PLANNING & BUILDING CONTROL DIRECTORATE MEMORANDUM To: Jennifer Chance/Sarah Coriett From: Chris Balmer Subject: Condition 2 Date: 09/02/2017 RE:- Alterations to the facades and extension to the rear, including the change of use of the basement and ground floors from offices to use class 3 - food and drink, with hours subject to licencing approval 11am to midnight - Celtic House, Victoria Street, Douglas - 16/01330/B The following condition was attached to the approval:- Condition 2: "No development shall commence until a schedule of materials and finishes and samples of the materials to be used in the construction of the external surfaces, including roofs, have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Department. The development shall not be carried out unless in accordance with the approved details. Reason: In the interests of the character and appearance of the site and surrounding area." The applicant has now supplied the relevant samples regarding the above condition. Having considered the information it is concluded the proposal would be acceptable and retain the existing character and appearance of the Conservation Area.
