Dear Sarah
Thank you for your visit to our property this afternoon with regard to the above Planning Application. We also appreciated your letter of 22nd February 2017 as we had no prior knowledge of this application.
Whilst both extensions will impact on our property, especially from our bedroom, conservatory and garden, our greatest concern is regarding the single storey extension. We feel that the height and closeness to the edge of the property line will give us an unwelcome feeling of being hemmed in as we already have a close extension to the rear of our property.
The dormer extension (bathroom) may also give us the hemmed in feeling and possible perception of being overlooked.
Had the proposed extensions been to the other side of the house, where there is more space, there would be less (or no) impact on the property that side.
If the pitched roof dormer application, which faces our property, is granted, we would request that the window is always to be fitted with obscure glass.
We hope that our concerns will be taken into consideration.
Many thanks.
Yours sincerely Sheila & Phil Preston 14 Raad ny Gabbil
Castletown
