The proposal is to convert a garage/store situated within a group of buildings into 2 bedroom tourist accomodation specifically for disabled use. There is no car parking provision within the SP for tourist accomodation and it is therefore considered to have a similar reauirement as residential accomodation. 2 car parking spaces are required for this unit one of which should be a disabled parking space.
The proposal is sited within a group of existing and proposed tourist accomodation and the overall car parking provision is below that normally required.
The application should be refused as it does not provide adequate car parking provision.
