12 April 2016 · Delegated
Sebakwe, Ballafesson Road, Port Erin, Isle Of Man, IM9 6bt
Permission was granted at Sebakwe, Ballafesson Road, Port Erin for alterations to the property and the installation of bi-fold doors to replace an existing bay window. The officer's report noted that the bay is surrounded by a dwarf wall with a higher section of hit-and-miss fencing, meaning it is largely screened from public view. This limited visibility supported the conclusion that the works would not cause significant harm to the character of the area. The application was decided by a Senior Planning Officer acting under delegated authority, with one condition attached to the permission.
A Senior Planning Officer approved the application under delegated authority. The existing bay window area is largely screened from public view by a dwarf wall and hit-and-miss fencing, which supported the conclusion that the alterations and bi-fold doors would have limited visual impact.
