Department Of Infrastructure ### Memorandum To: Jennifer Chance, Development Control Manager From: Ian Brooks, Planning Officer Subject: Compliance with condition 3 of 12/00016/B - Creation of a football pitch, erection of a clubhouse to provide changing facilities and associated car parking, Field 534017 & 534018, Blackberry Lane, Onchan, Isle of Man. Date: 15/07/13 To consider the submission of details in accordance with Condition 3 of Planning Approval 11/01384/CON dated 31st May 2012. Condition 3 stated: "No development shall commence until a sample of roofing material to be used on the clubhouse has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Planning Authority. The clubhouse shall be roofed with the approved material." The approved plans indicate that a steel simulated tile will be used. The applicant's agent has provided two samples of roofing material, which are: - Icopal Decra Stratos Anthracite - Icopal Decra Stratos Pepperstone ('Pepperstone') The tiles are a profiled aggregate-coated steel tilesheet for use on conventional steel or timber roof structures with a minimum pitch of 12°. I have contacted the agent to ascertain which of the tiles they are seeking approval. The agents have not responded. However, the President of the Football Club (Mr Quirk MHK) has indicated that the choice of the material is ours. Having looked at the samples, I think the Pepperstone tile is the most preferable out of the two samples. I therefore recommend that the Icopal Decra Stratos Pepperstone roofing tile be approved.
