31, Wybourn Drive, Onchan, Isle Of Man, IM3 4at
This application sought permission to replace the existing glazed conservatory roof at 31 Wybourn Drive, Onchan, with a new roof using lightweight roof tiles. The property is a single-storey detached dwelling with dormer accommodation, and the conservatory is located on the rear elevation. The main planning consideration was whether the replacement roof would harm the character and appearance of the property and the surrounding area, given that it would be visible from Wybourn Grove and neighbouring properties. The application was permitted by delegated decision on 18 February 2016, subject to one condition, with the officer recommending approval.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture approved the application on 18 February 2016, subject to one condition. The officer's assessment focused on the impact on the character and appearance of the property and surrounding area, and found the proposal acceptable.
