16 January 2012 · Delegated
12, Erin Crescent, Port Erin, Isle Of Man, IM9 6fd
Permission was granted for alterations and extensions to 12 Erin Crescent, Port Erin, along with the creation of a gateway and widening of the driveway and vehicular access. The property is an end-of-terrace, two-storey home on the north-western side of Erin Crescent, with a tandem driveway running parallel to the gable elevation. The main planning considerations were the potential effects on neighbouring residential amenity — including loss of light, overbearing impact, and overlooking — and the visual appearance of the works within the street scene. Both were judged acceptable, and the application was approved on 16 January 2012 under delegated authority.
The application was permitted by the Director of Planning and Building Control under delegated authority. The key planning considerations were the potential impact on neighbouring residents and the visual appearance within the street scene, both of which were found to be acceptable. The formal decision record lists 4 conditions.
