Permission was granted for the installation of advertising signage at the HSBC branch on St Pauls Square, Ramsey, Isle of Man. The site occupies a ground floor unit to the south west of the square, within a mixed-use area that includes retail units, banks, and cafes. The application was decided by the Development Control Manager under delegated powers. The officer recommended approval, and the formal decision matched that recommendation. Two conditions were attached to the permission.

The proposal is considered to be acceptable and in accordance with the relevant policies
General Policy 6: Within our towns and villages, the display of external advertisements will be permitted on the site or building to which they relate provided they: (a) are of a high standard of design and materials and relate well to the building and site on which they are to be displayed; (b) are in keeping with and do not detract from the surrounding area; and (c) are located so as not to cause a highway safety hazard.
Condition 1
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Condition 2
This permission relates to the installation of advertising signage as shown in drawings Location Plan, Site Plan, (20) 210 Rev B and (20) 110 Rev B received 26th September 2011.
