TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1999 The Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure)(No 2) Order 2013
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act, and subordinate Orders and Regulations, the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture determined to APPROVE an application by Dr John C Taylor OBE, Ref 19/01431/B, for the Erection of solar photovoltaic panels at Part Of Field 434107 Adjacent To Gatekeeper Cottage Ballawoods Douglas Road Ballasalla Isle Of Man and subject to compliance with the following condition(s) and notes (if any):
Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
Reason: to ensure that the development has an acceptable impact on the outlook from the railway line.
Reason: the development has been approved on the basis of the environmental benefit of the renewable energy which would be harnessed by the panels.
This decision relates to drawings SP1, SP0 and the Renusol brochure information all received on 20th December, 2019.
NOTE The application is advised to contact Manx Utilities prior to any excavation on the site within the gas pipeline easement area to ensure that the existing gas main and those working on the site are protected during the works.
This decision has been made for the following reasons(s) NOTE The application is considered to accord with EP1 and EP1 and is supported.

This decision was made by the Planning Committee in accordance with the authority delegated to it.

This decision refers only to that applied for under the Town and Country Planning Act 1999 and its subordinate legislation.
Any appeal against this decision must be in accordance with the criteria stated in the Order, specifically, a valid appeal must be in writing, signed by the appellant, and submitted to the Department within 21 days of the date of this Notice. To further validate the appeal it must contain:

If no valid appeal is lodged within 21 days of the date of issue overleaf, and this decision becomes final, the Department’s public reference copy (counter copy) of the planning application may be collected by the applicant or their agent from Murray House.
