The proposal consists of the erection of a polytunnel to the rear site of Thie-Ny-Chree, Douglas Road, Castletown.
The land is zoned as residential and runs along the back boundaries of the neighbouring 4 dwellings. It is accessed from the applicants main back garden via a gate. Large trees/shrubs give this area privacy from the neighbours.
The polytunnel would not be visible to the neighbouring dwellings. Brookfield Avenue which has views over the area is over 230 m away.
It is proposed to be used solely for personal purposes, growing various vegetables and not for any commercial reasons.
