11 September 2018 · Delegated
Sunlaws, Whitebridge Avenue, Ramsey, Isle Of Man, IM8 3pw
Permission was granted for alterations and an extension to a bungalow called Sunlaws on Whitebridge Avenue, Ramsey, Isle of Man. The site sits in the north-west part of Ramsey, north of the Sulby river, in a residential area where properties are typically linear in design, running parallel to the road across wide plots. The officer assessed three main planning issues: whether the proposal would fit the character and appearance of the area, whether it would affect neighbouring residents, and whether parking and highway safety would be adequately maintained. The application was recommended for approval and the decision was issued on 11 September 2018. Two conditions were attached to the permission.
The application was approved by delegated decision. The key planning considerations were the character and appearance of the extension, its impact on neighbouring properties, and parking and highway safety, all of which were found to be acceptable.
