The proposal is to enable an existing 3 bedroom residential property to also be used as tourist accommodation. The proposal would not result in any site access changes. The site plan shows that numerous car parking spaces and on-site turning facilities can be accommodated which is acceptable and complies with the parking standards in 'The Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016' which require 2 spaces for a dwelling. It is considered unlikely that the proposed use of the dwelling for tourism purposes would cause an increase in vehicle movements or parking demand at the site. Highway Services does not oppose the application.
