Conditions (if any)
The proposal is to convert Unit 16 into 2 new units to include new offices and welfare facilities, a new pedestrian entrance door and a new fire escape door. The new offices would be ancillary to the other uses on the site and a relocation of what is there at present. The commercial use of the site would not be changed and there would be no extension in floorspace, therefore there should be no difference in the site parking demand as the parking standards are based on floor area for commercial use. The site car parking spaces are located adjacent to the building frontage and the application states that 12 parking spaces would be retained on the site. There would be no changes to access to the site via the existing industrial estate access route. Highway Services does not oppose this application.
