TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1999 The Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure)(No 2) Order 2013
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture determined to APPROVE an application by Mr Michael Haxby, Ref 17/01217/B, for the Erection of stables at Field 534212 Scollag Road Abbeylands Isle Of Man subject to compliance with the following condition(s) and notes (if any):
Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
Reason: Due to the location of the site in the open countryside and the nature of the access to the site the Department does not consider the site suitable for anything other than private use in accordance with General Policy 3, Environment Policy 19 and Environment Policy 21 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016.
Reason: In order to mitigate the impact of the proposal on the open countryside in accordance with Environment Policy 19 and Environment Policy 21 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016.
Reason: In the interests of the character and appearance of the site and surrounding area in accordance with Environment Policy 19 and Environment Policy 21 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016.
Reason: The building has been approved to meet the equestrian need of the applicant and its subsequent retention would result in an unwarranted intrusion in the countryside in accordance with General Policy 3, Environment Policy 19 and Environment Policy 21 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016.
This Planning permission relates to the following plans and documents: Dwg No.LS-03 - Topographical Survey Sheet 2 of 2 Date-stamped as having been received 23 November 2017

This decision was made by the Planning Committee in accordance with the authority delegated to it in the name of the Minister and/or in the name and on behalf of the Department.

Any appeal against this decision must be in accordance with the criteria set down in that instrument.
Specifically, a valid appeal must be in writing, signed by the appellant, and submitted to the Department within 21 days of the date of this Notice. To further validate the appeal it must contain:
