I am writing to you on behalf of Mr and Mrs Cairnie to apply for planning permission to extend and modernize their house, Springfield Lodge.
The existing house is a two-storey property. The proposed works will improve the overall appearance of the property by timber cladding the gables and replacing the roof tiles, and the windows and external doors will be replaced with new, up-to-date units. The extension aims to replace the existing garage to make space for an open-plan kitchen and living area on the ground floor. This will include a master bedroom on the first floor.
There are currently two entrances to the site. One is on the far east of the site, and the other is located centrally on the site. The central entrance will be closed off and the internal arrangement of the site will be rearranged to ensure that the eastern existing access is utilized. The proposed works will close off the central entrance by extending the boundary wall to match the existing one. The works will enhance the quality of life for Mr and Mrs Cairnie’s family.

Springfield Lodge is a two-storey property. The proposal is to extend the house to the north-east façade and modernize the elevations. The proposed works aim to improve the overall appearance of the property and provide additional living space for Mr and Mrs Cairnie’s family.
There are two entrances to the site. One is located centrally of the south-eastern boundary on New Castletown Road, and the other is further east of the site. The proposal aims to close the central entrance by extending the boundary wall (with fencing) to match the existing wall, and using the existing eastern entrance to the site.
